Day 1 /Sun 04.01./ Helsinki – Dhaka
Meet the tour leader at Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Direct flight to Istanbul from 12:25-17:15. At 19:05 connecting flight to Dhaka.
Day 2 /Ma 05.01./ Arrive in pulsating Dhaka
At 05:25 our flight arrives at Dhaka International Airport. After assembly, we will have transfer to the hotel. Morning free time.
At around 13:00 we start our sightseeing tour of Dhaka. We will visit a green bazaar, take a rickshaw ride and taste local tea.

Day 3 /Tuesday 06.01./ Dhaka’s bustling alleys and ancient heritage
After breakfast, we take a walking tour of Dhaka Old Town (3.5 hours, 4-5 km). During the day we will see the 400 year old city and the lifestyle of its inhabitants. The tour includes a visit to Sadarghat Port, Dhakeswar Hindu Temple, Star Mosque, Armenian Church and the most famous attraction of Dhaka and the country – the pink palace of Ahsan Mansil.

Day 4 /Dec 07.01./ Dhaka – Chittagong port city ( 367 km, 7,5 hours)
After breakfast, check-in. Drive to the port city of Chittagong. On the way, we will visit our guests in Sonargaon Panam city. Sonargaon means Golden City, which was the capital of Bengal in the 13th-17th centuries. We will have lunch at Comilia.
At the mouth of the evening we will arrive in Chittagong.

Day 5 /To 08.01./ Chittagong – Rangamat tribal villages
After breakfast, check-out. Drive to Rangamat (75 km, 3 hours). On the way we will stop and visit the Rajba Bihara Buddhist Temple. Arrive in Rangamati, check in at Parjatan Rangamati Motel.
We will visit tribal villages, markets and there will also be time to relax on the shores of Lake Kaptai.

Day 6 /Pe 09.01./ Cruise on Lake Katpai – Bandarban tribes (A, I)
After breakfast, check-out. Before driving to Bandarban we will take a boat trip of about 2-3 hours on Lake Kaptai.
Lake Kaptai is the largest lake in Bangladesh. The lake was created by the construction of the Kaptai Dam on the Karnaphuli River. The average depth of the lake is 30 metres and the maximum depth is 150 metres.
After the boat trip we drive to Bandarban (about 4 hours drive). On the way we will visit the Marma village.
In the evening we arrive in Bandarban, hotel accommodation.

Day 7 /La 10.01./ Bandarban Ethnic people, culture and nature
After breakfast we will visit the tribal villages of Laima Para, Faruk Para, Ramary Para in the hilly Bandarban area. We will visit the bazaar of Bandarban town and take a one hour boat trip on the Sangu River. Accommodation at the already familiar hotel in Bandarban.

Day 8 /Su 11.01./ Bandarban – Chittagong – Dhaka
After breakfast, check-out. Drive to Chittagong airport (120 km, 2,5 hours). Afternoon flight to Dhaka takes about 45 minutes. Arrival in Dhaka, transfer to hotel.
Time permitting, we will explore local handicraft shops and discover traditional Bangladeshi handicrafts, textiles and souvenirs. In the evening, we will enjoy dinner at a well-known local restaurant.

Day 9 /Ma 12.01./ Dhaka suburb
After breakfast, we will make an excursion to Savari village, to visit the “Kakran” pottery village (most of the inhabitants of this village were potters in the past, when earthenware and cutlery were widely used. Now only a few families still try to keep this trade as a living).
Later, we move on to the “Dhamrai” metalworking village (Every house in this village has been run by craftsmen and they have been metalworkers. for the past hundreds of years, supplying statues, household utensils and decorations for temples in greater India. Now only a few families keep it, but mainly on orders from abroad), local village markets and the National Martyrs’ Monument, this 50-metre high and beautifully kept building was built to commemorate the millions who died in the War of Independence in 1971. Return to the city in the late afternoon, farewell dinner and overnight in Dhaka.

Day 10 /Tuesday 13.01./ Return journey home
At 03:00 am transfer to Dhaka airport. Direct flight to Istanbul 06:55-13:25.
At 15:15 connecting flight to Helsinki. At 18:05 our flight arrives in Helsinki.
