As of 16 July 2015, Finnish citizens can travel to Kazakhstan visa-free, provided the length of the trip does not exceed 30 days. For longer trips, a visa is normally required.

46 nationals are issued with a single entry visa without an official invitation if the purpose of the trip is tourism, business or pleasure. Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, USA, United Arab Emirates, Croatia, Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria, Malta, Cyprus, Slovenia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, the Sultanate of Oman.

When applying for a visa, you must provide Traveller Ltd with:

• Passport, which must be valid for three (3) months after the expiry of the visa and must have blank pages available. The passport must be in good condition.
• A copy of the passport information page.
• Colour passport photo, 3.5 x 4.5 cm and no more than six (6) months old.
• Visa application NOTE! Fill in the visa application form according to the instructions. If the visa application form is incomplete and we are unable to contact the visa applicant, we will not be held responsible for any errors in the visa or its delivery.
• A travel insurance certificate in English covering the period of validity of the visa and showing the insured person’s details.
• Completed and signed Letter of Request (LoR)
• Hotel confirmation, including contact details of the hotel/guesthouse, duration of the stay, persons staying, etc.

Your visa will only be processed once we have received all the necessary documents.

NOTE!

For all questions about lengths of stay in the country, how they are calculated and whether a visa is required, and in exceptional cases, we recommend that you contact the consulate of the country of destination, as visa policies are often case-specific and may change frequently. Consulates and Embassies can help with all matters in Finnish or English.

Visas are always issued on a discretionary and case-by-case basis, based on the application and supporting documents. The visa fee will not be refunded to the applicant following a refusal decision. The passport remains at the embassy for the entire processing.

The visa is affixed to the page of your passport. The visa is valid as soon as it is issued. It is therefore not possible to apply for a visa for a specific period.

When you mail in your application, you should also send us an envelope stating the postal address to which you would like your passport returned. You can mail or bring the documents needed for your visa application to us. Please note that registered letters can take up to two weeks to arrive within Finland, which is why we prefer the express mail service.
