Day 1 Helsinki – Karachi
Meet the tour leader at Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Direct flight to Istanbul from 12.25-17.15. At 21.45 connecting flight to Karachi.

Day 2 Arrive by the Arabian Sea in Karachi (A, I)
At 04.55 our flight arrives in Karachi. After assembly we have a transfer to the hotel. Morning free time.

At around 12.30 we start our sightseeing tour of Karachi. We visit the mausoleum of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Before his death, he served for a year as the first Governor General of independent Pakistan. We will see a large city street sign and have dinner at Do Darya Food street.

Day 3 Karachi-Mubarak fishing village-Karachi
After breakfast we drive to Mubarak fishing village (30 km in direction). Fishing is the main occupation of the village. We will meet local people.
At the end of the evening, we return to Karachi. (B,D)

Day 4 Karachi – flight to Lahore
After breakfast, we check in, transfer to Karachi airport. Flight to Lahore. (B,D)

Day 5 Lahore
Breakfast at the hotel. Today we get to know Pakistan’s second largest city better. The city has played an important role in the cultural development of the Punjab region and its long history is reflected in monumental buildings from different periods.
Our first stop is the Lahore Museum. The Lahore Museum covers the history of many eras, including Sikh, British and Mughal.
Later we continue to the walled city of Lahore, also known as the Old City, forms the historical core of the Pakistani city of Lahore. The city was founded around 1000 AD. Walled City on the western side of the city, which was fortified by a mud wall in the Middle Ages. We visit the Masjid Wazir Khan Mosque, a 17th century mosque. The mosque was commissioned under the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as part of a complex of buildings that also included the nearby Shahi Hammam baths.
Next we visit the Shalamar Gardens. It was built by Shah Jahan in 1641. The park is 658 metres long and 258 metres wide. There are 410 fountains. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with Lahore Fort.
Before sunset, we head to the Wagah village on the Pakistan-India border. We arrive in time for the flag ceremony, security check and better seating. The ceremony lasts about 45 minutes, during which the march of the soldiers is very energetic and passionate.
Back in Lahore, we visit the Food Street which is a luxurious place to enjoy traditional food in an old residential area. Hotel accommodation in Lahore. (B,D)

Day 6 Lahore
After breakfast, we visit the Lahore Fort. Built, demolished, rebuilt and renovated several times before Emperor Akbar gave it its present form in 1566 (when he made Lahore the capital), Lahore Fort is the star attraction of the old city.
Later we visit the Badshahi Mosque, an imperial mosque of the Grand Mughal era. The Badshahi Mosque was built by the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb between 1671 and 1673. After lunch, we visited the Anarkali market. Anarkali Bazaar is one of the oldest existing markets in Pakistan and Asia, dating back at least 200 years. (B,D)

Day 7 Lahore-Islamabad
After breakfast at the hotel, we check in and start the drive to Islamabad. The journey will include several stops. In the evening we arrive in Islamabad.

Day 8 Islamabad
Breakfast at the hotel. We get better acquainted with the country’s clean and green capital. Islamabad has no old buildings at all, but plenty of modern, monumental architecture. The most famous architectural sights include the Shah Faisal Masjid, the Saudi-Pak Tower skyscraper and the National Museum. From Shakar Parian Hill, we can admire the city view and Rawal Lake. We will also visit the Lok Virsa Folklore Museum on the hill. (B,D)

Day 9 Excursion to Ravalpindi, car decoration workshop
Breakfast. Free day in Islamabad.
Excursion:
– Visit to a car decoration workshop. In Pakistan, trucks are decorated like Christmas trees. Vehicle decoration is popular throughout South Asia. Rickshaws, buses and trucks can be seen on the roads in India, Nepal and Bangladesh. Yet nowhere are trucks, in particular, more lavishly decorated than in Pakistan. Thousands of euros can be spent on decoration, and it has become a competition. (B,D)

Day 10 Home departure
Early wake up. At 03.00 transfer to Islamabad airport. Direct flight to Istanbul at 06.25. At 11.20 we arrive in Istanbul. At 15.15 connecting flight to Helsinki. At 18.00 our flight arrives in Helsinki.
