Flight from Helsinki to Istanbul from 12.40-16.10. Connecting flight to Tajikistan capital Dushanbe at 20.55.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 2 Arrival in Dushanbe (A)<\/strong><br \/>\nWe arrive at 03.35. After border formalities, meet the group and transfer to the hotel for early check-in   <span style=\"font-family: Open Sans, serif;\">and relaxation. Free time.   <strong>(A)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 3 Dushanbe<\/strong><br \/>\nMorning sightseeing tour of Dushanbe. After lunch, drive to Hissar Fortress, located outside the city. At Hissar Fortress we will see the remains of the Ibragimbek-Khan Palace. At one time, a palace, garden and pool were found within the thick walls of the fortress. It was located opposite the popular markets and caravan rallies. <strong>(A,L,I)<\/strong><br \/>\nAfter the fort visit, drive back to Dushanbe for a short walk in the city centre. Overnight at Hilton Dushanbe**** or similar hotel.       <b>  (A,L,I)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 4 Dushanbe-Hulbuk-Kalai-Khumb<\/strong><br \/>\nFrom Dushanbe we drive via Nurek (Nurek is the highest dam in the world and the largest reservoir in Tajikistan) to Kalai-Khumb.  <span style=\"font-family: Open Sans, serif;\">NOTE! Do not visit the dam area.  <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Open Sans, serif;\">On the way, we visit the ruins of Hulbuk Fortress. A new fort is being rebuilt on the site with architecture similar to that of 1200 years ago.<br \/>\nWe continue driving south towards Kalai-Khumbia, the first of the Pamir districts. The conservatism of this area can be seen in their style of dress and long beards, but the people are welcoming and very friendly.  <b>  (A,L,I)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>After crossing the pass, the landscape and the people change again. Here are the people of Badakhshan. They are not Tajiks, but several separate tribal groups. Stunning scenery with snow-capped mountain peaks, on one side of which is Afghanistan. Overnight at the Karon-Palace**** hotel.      <b>(A,L,I)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 5 Kalai-Khumb &#8211; Khorog 260 km, 6 &#8211; 7 hours <\/strong><br \/>\nWe drive to Khorog, the capital of the autonomous region of Nagorno-Badakhshan. The city is located in a deep gorge, about 2000 meters above sea level at the confluence of the Panj, Gunt and Shahdara rivers. The Pamir highway runs through the centre of the town. On the Tajik side, the road is asphalted, the houses are built using glass and metal, and the villagers have electricity. On the Afghan side, the road is the complete opposite of the previous one, and only 100 metres away the road is just a donkey track and the buildings are made of wood and clay.      <strong>(A,L,I)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 6 Khorog &#8211; Ishkashim 100 km, 4 &#8211; 5 hours <\/strong><br \/>\nIn the morning we drive to Wakhan. During the day we will make several stops at the Garm Chashma mineral and hot springs, popular among Tajik people. Overnight at Aidar guesthouse.    <strong>(A,L,I)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 7 Ishkashim-Yamg-Langar 145 km, 5-6 hours<\/strong><br \/>\nOn the Pamir trip we stop at Namadgut and Vrang villages, and Yamg village where we visit an interesting yet strange museum. A local self-taught scholar, calligrapher, musician and poet, &#8220;Tajikistan&#8217;s own Leonardo da Vinci&#8221;, lived in Yamg between 1843 and 1910. A stone with a solar calendar in a hole still stands next to his house. The villagers are proud and honour the memory of their great ancestor. The museum houses handmade musical instruments, looms, books written by him (Muborak also made the paper himself) and household items.<br \/>\nOn the way to Langar, you will see stunning views of the peaks of Karl Marx (6 723 m) and Fredrikh Engels (6 180 m). Overnight at the Yodgor guesthouse.       <strong>(A,L,I)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 8 Langar &#8211; Murgab 250 km, 7-8 hours<\/strong><br \/>\nThe journey to the exotic village of Bulunkul passes through the Khargush Pass (4 272 m) towards the freshwater lakes of Balunkul and Yashikul. The Bulunkul Lake region is famous for being the coldest place in Central Asia in winter, with temperatures as low as -63 degrees Celsius. The best time to visit this area is from July to September.<br \/>\nThe scenery and people change on the way as we climb to the highest plateau of Pamir. We stop at Yashilkul lake. We drive along the Pamir highway (M) to Murgab. On the way we see Kyrgyz pastoralists who live in this area. Lunch will be enjoyed in the village of Alichur. In the evening we arrive in Murgab. Overnight at the Pamir Hotel.          <b>(A,L,I)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 9 Murgab &#8211; Kyzyl-Art &#8211; Sary Tash &#8211; Achyk Tash Osh 420 km, 9 hours<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the morning we drive to the Kyrgyz border. Lunch will be enjoyed on the Tajik side. In the afternoon, cross the border. Transfer to Achyk Tash Lenin Peak base camp. Dinner and accommodation in base camp, 2hh in tents.      <strong>(A,L,I)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 10 Achyk Tash &#8211; Osh 280 km, 4 hours<\/strong><br \/>\nAlthough the journey from Achyk Tash to Osh is only 280 km, it takes about 4 hours. Our route takes us along the very scenic Pamir highway. Osh is a warm, friendly and very old town, once an important point on the Silk Road connecting East and West. In the evening we arrive in Osh. Overnight at Sun Rise*** Hotel or similar.      <strong>(A)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 11 Osh &#8211; free day (A)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 12 Return home<\/strong><br \/>\nTransfer to the airport.
